Community Service Shines as the CAT Day Quatro - Kilos ng Kabataan commences.

Noveleta, Philippines — The Officers of the Citizenship Advancement Training (C.A.T.) concluded their year-end livelihood program, CAT Day Quatro - Kilos ng Kabataan, at the Alex A. Laserna Gymnasium.
During the event, C.A.T. officers distributed essential livelihood materials, including a food cart, a sewing machine, 60 sacks of 5 kg rice, and 100 sets of school supplies. Additionally, Nurse Charmie Datu offered free blood sugar testing services.
Sir Alvin D. Ramos, the Corps Commandant of the C.A.T., stated that the program aims to provide relief to low-income families from nearby barangays, using funds accumulated from C.A.T. fundraising activities. This event marks the fourth iteration of the program, hence the name “CAT Day Quatro.”
Nathan Aoay, the Charlie Company Commander of C.A.T., explained that funds were raised through various activities, including Christmas caroling, Zumba sessions, a foundation food fair, and "Bote ng Pagasa," a project selling plastic bottles to junk shops for charity. According to Jaehdee Cristobal, the Corps Logistics and Supply Officer, the C.A.T. batch of S.Y. 2023-2024 raised an estimated PHP 85,000 to PHP 90,000 over the year.
Emphasizing the core value of community service, Deputy Corps Commandant Cabral highlighted that the program's purpose was to give back to the community and barangays. He expressed his happiness in seeing all C.A.T. members embody the spirit of community service.
